Kcrush America K-Pop Music Awards 2020: The Winners

Twenty-one categories and 23 days to vote: The winners of Kcrush America’s K-Pop Music Awards 2020 have been decided!

For the fourth year, Kcrush America has allowed our readers to vote for their favorites in each of the available awards categories. For 2020, we included additional categories (Best Online Concert, for example) as well some changes to some categories (Best OST now addresses a drama’s full discography instead of individual songs).

While a bot attack took down voting for a short span, once the issue was fixed, close to 2000 votes rolled in to decide this year’s winners! While these numbers are not MAMA-level voting, it’s exciting all the same.

With so many votes cast, we expected each category to have runaway wins. While there were clear runaway winners in a few categories, namely Best Rock or Band and Male Group of the Year, many categories came down to the wire due to close votes and even ties! Best Vocal Performance, for example, was tied during the entire voting period before ending up with one vote a piece separating first from second and second from third!

We at Kcrush are thankful for our voters from across the globe. In addition to the United States and South Korea, votes from Switzerland, Nigeria, Canada, Australia, Chile, Argentina, the Netherlands, Japan, Singapore, Russia, India, and Brazil also voted en masse. We appreciate the support!
