Prior to the final round, in the 180th Generation Mask King episode of the MBC singing competition King of Mask Singer, Swan was identified as “Old Twisted Bread” after she was eliminated in the third round. On September 17, Swan appeared on the KBS music producer competition show Listen-Up, where she performed as a mission singer for producer Jung Key. The previous day, Mnet revealed the line-up for its music survival show Artistock Game, featuring Swan and 47 other contestants. Swan appeared on the show until the eighth episode, when she was eliminated. She contributed her voice to a reworking of “Oh! What a Shiny Night,” which was first released by South Korean punk band Crying Nut in 2001.
Swan made her television debut in the first quarter of 2023 as Ruby on the KakaoTV virtual survival show Girls Reverse. Her identity was later revealed when she was eliminated on the final episode and finished in eighth place. Swan was unable to make her debut with the final group, Fe:verse.[10] On June 20, RBW confirmed that Swan would make her debut as a solo artist in July, with Jung Key, who had previously worked with her, serving as the producer of the release. Three days later, it was revealed that the debut would take the form of a single album with the title Twenty. On July 2, the scheduled date, Swan made her official solo debut as a solo artist with the release of the single album and associated music video.
