The weather finally warmed up and it’s time to start preparing some cool outfits for Spring/ Summer 2020. When you are finally ready to start going out, after staying home for a while, you should be on the lookout for these latest fashion trend pieces that Korean celebrities are loving. To make things easier, we’ve picked out the most wearable fashion trends that are simple enough to style and easy for everyone to pull off!
Leather Blazers
Leather jackets are popular year-round, but this Spring, leather blazers are getting the spotlight while the traditional leather moto jackets are looking a bit outdated. Quickly gaining popularity after actress Kim Dami’s appearance in a leather blazer in 2020’s hit K-Drama Itaewon Class, a leather blazer is now the new must-have item to add to your wardrobe. Style with casual outfits and bold chain jewelry like in the Korean models and idols’ #ootd.
Cropped Jackets
Seen on several runway shows, as well as Korean celebrities’ airport fashion photos, cropped jackets are in trend this season. This great transitional piece that can be layered and styled with shirts, dresses, or jeans. The best thing about this trend is that it really gives an elongating and slimming effect to your silhouette – guaranteed that your legs will look 10cm longer!
Puff Sleeves
Spring fashion is all about cute tops and dresses. This year, voluminous puff sleeves and puff shoulders are trending in these categories. Coming in all shapes, sizes, and colors, there are so many fun variations of puff sleeves available this season. Incorporating puff sleeves into your outfit will automatically elevate the look and add femininity to your style.
Bermuda Shorts
The Bermuda shorts have made a stylish comeback this year and are already being loved by many Korean fashionistas. These knee-length shorts made appearances in the major luxury designer shows and we predict that this trend will blow up this summer. Try styling tailored Bermuda shorts with blazers for a modern classic look, or wear a trending vegan leather pair with t-shirts for a casual summer vacation look.
Oversized Blazers
This trend has been around for several seasons now, but it’s not going away anytime soon. Hottest Korean celebrities, including Lisa and Jennie from Blackpink are still loving their oversized blazers and showing them off on their Instagrams. One thing to note is that the blazer trend is evolving and they are just getting bigger and bigger each season, almost looking as if you borrowed your dad’s blazer, and that’s chic. It’s such a versatile piece – you can style it in a more classy, formal outfit or dress it down with t-shirts and sweatshirts to give off a more “cool girl vibe” like the K-pop stars.
