Where Are They Now? – Ladies’ Code

Ladies’ Code was one of K-pop’s most promising girl groups under Polaris Entertainment. Debuting with a fresh sound and strong vocal performances, the group quickly gained a dedicated fanbase. However, their journey was marked by both triumphs and tragedy, leading to a bittersweet legacy in the industry. Years later, fans continue to wonder – where are the members of Ladies’ Code now?

Debut & Rise

Ladies’ Code debuted in March 2013, with their mini-album ‘Code#01 Bad Girl’. Their title track, “Bad Girl”, received positive reviews, showcasing their unique blend of strong vocals and stylish concepts. The group gained further recognition with hits like “Pretty Pretty” and “So Wonderful”, solidifying their status as rising stars in the industry. Their 2014 release, “Kiss Kiss”, continued their momentum, and fans eagerly anticipated their future projects.

The Tragic Accident

On September 3, 2014, tragedy struck when the group was involved in a devastating car accident. The crash resulted in the heartbreaking loss of members EunB and RiSe, leaving the K-pop community in mourning. The surviving members – Ashley, Sojung, and Zuny – took an extended hiatus to recover from the emotional and physical impact of the accident. The tragedy became a significant moment in K-pop history, sparking discussions about safety in the industry.

Comeback & Performances

In 2016, after nearly two years of silence, Ladies’ Code made a brave return with the mini-album ‘Myst3ry’, featuring the emotional ballad “Galaxy”. Their comeback was met with a warm response, and fans admired their resilience. The group continued with follow-up releases, including “The Rain” and “Feedback”, showing a more mature and sophisticated musical direction. While they never regained their earlier commercial peak, they were widely respected for their artistry and perseverance.

Inactive Status

Despite their return, Ladies’ Code remained relatively low-profile compared to other K-pop acts. Their last official comeback as a group was in 2019 with the song “Set Me Free”. By 2020, their contracts with Polaris Entertainment expired, and the members decided not to renew, effectively putting the group on an indefinite hiatus.

What are Ladies’ Code Members Doing Now?

Following the termination of their contract, the remaining members pursued individual careers. Ashley transitioned into hosting and content creation, running a YouTube channel and working as a radio DJ. Sojung continued her music career as a solo artist, releasing indie-style songs that showcase her deep, emotional vocals. Zuny, while keeping a lower profile, has occasionally appeared in entertainment projects.

Conclusion

Ladies’ Code’s journey was filled with highs and lows, but their legacy in K-pop remains unforgettable. Though no longer active as a group, their music and story continue to inspire fans. Whether through solo endeavors or memories of their past, Ladies’ Code will always be cherished by those who followed their remarkable journey. We wish them well and if ever there is a comeback or even just a showcase, they will be welcomed back very warmly.
