Shinhwa’s Minwoo Cleared of Sexual Harassment Charges

 

In July 2019, Shinhwa’s Minwoo was accused of sexual harassment following an incident at a bar June 29, 2019.

According to the initial report, Minwoo went up to two women and forcibly kissed them.

“I went too overboard with jokes while using informal, friendly terms, and there were no other intentions,” Minwoo said during his police interrogation.

Minwoo’s agency, Liveworks Company, released a statement stating the police report has been withdrawn after all parties involved discussed the occurrence. However, police opted to investigate further.

On December 31, 2019, the case has officially been resolved with Minwoo being cleared of any wrongdoing. Liveworks Company released a statement confirming the news.

Regarding the incident related to our singer Lee Min Woo that was reported through the media in July, the prosecution recently closed the investigation with the conclusion that no suspicions were found.

The case was closed by the investigating prosecutors. According to the police, the case could not be closed in July because it’s hard to close a case partway through an investigation despite the victims withdrawing their complaint.
