ARTMS (아르테미스) is a five-member South Korean girl group formed by MODHAUS. The group consists of former members of the girl group LOONA: HeeJin, HaSeul, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry. They officially debuted on May 31, 2024, with the album DALL and its title track “Virtual Angel.” The group’s name is inspired by the Greek goddess of the moon, Artemis, and NASA’s Artemis program, signifying a new journey to the moon and beyond. Their official fandom name is OURII (우리), which means “us” in Korean and is also a portmanteau of the members’ names.
The formation of ARTMS came after the members won their lawsuits to suspend their exclusive contracts with their former agency, Blockberry Creative. In early 2023, HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry signed with MODHAUS, a new agency founded by LOONA’s former creative director, Jaden Jeong. HaSeul joined them later in the year. Before their official debut as a full group, the members engaged in a series of solo and sub-unit activities to reintroduce themselves to the public. This included the return of the popular LOONA sub-unit, ODD EYE CIRCLE (composed of Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry), with their mini album <Version Up>.
