YG Entertainment commented on WINNER’s allegations of neglecting military service duties.
After the unsettling issue of WINNER’s Mino military service neglect allegations, YG Entertainment had no option but to make an official announcement. On December 17, the agency stated that Song Min Ho had not neglected his military duties but couldn’t attend due to valid reasons. The agency said that Mino was on sick leave because of ongoing treatment even before his military enlistment. The agency clarified that other leaves had been granted under official regulations.
On December 16, it had been reported that Mino had failed to consistently show up at his station. According to the reports, Mini’s supervisor claimed that “it is difficult for celebrities to work properly” and “we try to keep him out of sight by hiding him in a side room”. When the supervisor was asked about Mino’s hospitalization that prompted his leave, he replied ” I heard about it from his manager. It is difficult to verify hospitalizations”. Mino will be discharged on the 23rd of this month.
