Japanese boys group WOLF HOWL HARMONY release music video for ‘BAKUON’, lead track from debut album ‘WOLF’! Epic scale video shows resolve to go bigger than major!
Meet four-piece Japanese boys group WOLF HOWL HARMONY. A year and a half since their debut, this EXILE TRIBE group continue to be hot news in the music scene, hosting a regular radio show on J-WAVE and a regular column in the beauty publication VOCE.
The group released their first full-length album ‘WOLF’ on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, along with a music video for ‘BAKUON’, the lead song from the album.
WOLF HOWL HARMONY / ‘BAKUON’ music video
https://youtu.be/KouPKw7Q59A
The music video is a collaboration with LIFULL ALT-RHYTHM dance group, who are active in Japan’s dance league D.LEAGUE. WOLF HOWL HARMONY aim to be future leaders of their generation, and LIFULL ALT-RHYTHM are their greatest advocates, helping to spread their message. The abandoned spaces featured in the video act as their base of operations, and despite the location’s dystopian vibe, the video expresses how the two groups’ alliance continues to grow ever stronger.
This is WOLF HOWL HARMONY’s most difficult dance performance to date, creating incredible visual impact through its choreography and expressive power. The choreography was devised by LIFULL ALT-RHYTHM Director Naoya Nagai.
The video was directed by YERD, a Japanese creative who has become renowned as a filmmaker and music video director whose works boast stunning visual beauty and unique storytelling. With direction skills that bring out each artist’s unique personality to the fullest and visual sense that pays close attention to detail, YERD has worked on many hit productions.
The video for ‘BAKUON’ was filmed in a manmade yet familiar abandoned structure, in a remote location devoid of visitors. Based on the concept that cultural evolution and the emergence of new movements also begin in unknown places, the video was shot using a variety of angles, large-scale aerial photography using drones, distinctive setups within the space and dizzying editing techniques, with the aim of creating a video that would serve as a statement of WHH’s resolve to shape the times to come.
■ Comment from WOLF HOWL HARMONY
“Collaborating on this video with LIFULL ALT-RHYTHM allowed for a chain reaction of creativity, making this the proudest work in our history as WOLF HOWL HARMONY so far! We hope this video will kickstart a new movement, so be sure to check it out!”
■ Comment from producer Chaki Zulu
“We tried and tested many approaches to create a song that would aid WOLF HOWL HARMONY’s mission to take over the world. I think it’s an addictive song that adds a spark to the group’s singing and dancing performance.”
■ Comment from LIFULL ALT-RHYTHM Director Naoya Nagai
“We created choreography that breaks free from genres, based on the sense of speed that defines today’s world and an epic foot-stomp that screams power. This high-tempo choreography features hand signs that are typical of WHH and iconic elements from their songs, and once you start dancing, you’ll be obsessed. The vibe from this collaboration got me thinking deeply about what expression really means, and the true essence of dance. I hope this fresh wave that WHH bring will wash over you all, and that you will dance together and feel the excitement.”
■ Comment from LIFULL ALT-RHYTHM member calin
“This song was a whole new challenge for both WOLF HOWL HARMONY and LIFULL ALT-RHYTHM. Rather than matching particular shapes or silhouettes, it’s like their bodies were being controlled by or influenced by something greater – and this was the image I tried to convey when working on the choreography. It must have been pretty hard for them. The energy of the song brings out a whole new side to each member’s expression and dance performance. It feels new, but true to the group’s original charm. I hope you enjoy it.”
■ Director’s notes from YERD
“The setting for this video was an abandoned space that exists within everyday life, but a place where other people do not venture. This is the secret base of WOLF HOWL HARMONY, and is testament to how the evolution of culture and the emergence of new movements begin in unknown places.
“In this era where the cutting edge changes dramatically every day, who will be the next artist to lead their generation? Thinking of this question, and with the hope that WOLF HOWL HARMONY will continue to grow into artists that lead the zeitgeist, I made a video that expresses the power of demonstrating your existence and your place with likeminded cohorts in this wide world through a creative lens.
“The symbolic, powerful dance at the center of this video is also its main theme. LIFULL ALT-RHYTHM have a unique presence within D.LEAGUE and are comrades of the pioneering force that is WOLF HOWL HARMONY, making them welcome collaborators. The members of LIFULL ALT-RHYTHM have helped spread the ideas of WOLF HOWL HARMONY, contributing to the group’s unique approach with their distinctive choreography full of awesome contemporary rhythm.
The physical expression of dance that could only be communicated by members of the same tribe represents the creation of a new common language and culture, showing us how WOLF HOWL HARMONY – who were previously solitary lone wolves – evolve when they work with their friends.”

‘Undercover High School’ K-drama is a 2025 South Korean action-comedy drama about Jung Hae-Seong, a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent demoted after a failed mission. Assigned to recover lost gold bars, he infiltrates Byeongmoon High School disguised as a student. Balancing his covert operation with the chaos of school life, he encounters Oh Soo-A, a devoted history teacher who finds him oddly familiar. As secrets unravel, Hae-Seong must navigate friendships, enemies, and his growing connection with Soo-A. Blending espionage, humor, and heartfelt moments, the drama delivers an exciting mix of mystery and school-life storytelling.
Jung Hae Seong (Seo Kang Joon)
Jung Hae-Seong is a highly skilled but reckless detective who is forced to disguise himself as a high school student. While trying to maintain his cover, he unexpectedly gets drawn into real high school problems like friendships, rivalries, and even first love. Jung Hae-Seong’s struggles with teenage life reveal an unexpectedly humorous and adaptable side as he balances duty, deception, and unexpected connections.
Oh Soo A (Jin Ki Joo)
Oh Soo A is a passionate and dedicated Korean history teacher at Byeongmoon High School. Known for her strong principles and deep care for her students, she strives to make learning meaningful while protecting them from the harsh realities of the world. When Jung Hae-Seong arrives, she senses something unusual about him, especially his resemblance to someone from her past. As she gets entangled in his secret mission, Soo-A’s warmth, intelligence, and determination shine through, revealing her struggles with trust, past regrets, and the unexpected chaos that Hae Seong brings into her life.
Seo Myeong Ju (Kim Shin Rok)
Seo Myeong-Ju is the sharp and ambitious vice principal of Byeongmoon High School. Known for her meticulous nature and no-nonsense attitude, she keeps a close eye on both students and staff, ensuring the school runs efficiently. Unlike Principal Choi Sung-Tae, she is less tolerant of disruptions and quickly grows suspicious of Jung Hae-Seong’s true identity. Behind her strict demeanor, Myeong-Ju is deeply invested in the school’s prestige and has her own ambitions to rise in the education field. As tensions build, her sharp instincts and determination make her a formidable obstacle in Hae-Seong’s undercover mission.
Lee Ye Na (Kim Min Ju)
Lee Ye Na is the confident and ambitious student council president of Byeongmoon High School. As the daughter of Vice Principal Seo Myeong-Ju, she carries the weight of high expectations and strives for perfection in everything she does. Known for her intelligence and strong leadership, she upholds school rules with firm authority, often clashing with those who challenge them. However, beneath her composed and disciplined demeanor lies a young woman struggling to balance her mother’s strict demands with her desires. As Jung Hae-Seong’s presence stirs chaos, Ye-Na finds herself questioning the truth and where her loyalties truly lie.
Park Tae Soo (Jang Seong Beom)
Park Tae-Soo is the charismatic and fearless leader of Byeongmoon High School’s most notorious gang, as well as a student council member with deep political ties. As the son of a three-term National Assembly member from Yeouido, he carries both privilege and pressure, though he prefers the streets over politics. Known for his strength and sharp instincts, he commands respect but often clashes with authority. Initially seeing Jung Hae-Seong as a threat, he later becomes an unlikely ally. Beneath his tough exterior lies a strong sense of loyalty, forcing him to choose between his reputation and doing what’s right.
My Thoughts
Based on this ‘Undercover High School’ K-drama synopsis, the series presents a fun yet action-packed take on high school life with a thrilling investigative twist. The drama explores the humorous struggles of an adult trying to fit into a teenage environment while balancing suspenseful moments involving crime-solving. With engaging action sequences, comedic interactions, and heartfelt relationships, ‘Undercover High School’ offers a fresh and entertaining narrative that blends mystery, humor, and heartwarming moments seamlessly.
Ladies’ Code was one of K-pop’s most promising girl groups under Polaris Entertainment. Debuting with a fresh sound and strong vocal performances, the group quickly gained a dedicated fanbase. However, their journey was marked by both triumphs and tragedy, leading to a bittersweet legacy in the industry. Years later, fans continue to wonder – where are the members of Ladies’ Code now?
Debut & Rise
Ladies’ Code debuted in March 2013, with their mini-album ‘Code#01 Bad Girl’. Their title track, “Bad Girl”, received positive reviews, showcasing their unique blend of strong vocals and stylish concepts. The group gained further recognition with hits like “Pretty Pretty” and “So Wonderful”, solidifying their status as rising stars in the industry. Their 2014 release, “Kiss Kiss”, continued their momentum, and fans eagerly anticipated their future projects.
The Tragic Accident
On September 3, 2014, tragedy struck when the group was involved in a devastating car accident. The crash resulted in the heartbreaking loss of members EunB and RiSe, leaving the K-pop community in mourning. The surviving members – Ashley, Sojung, and Zuny – took an extended hiatus to recover from the emotional and physical impact of the accident. The tragedy became a significant moment in K-pop history, sparking discussions about safety in the industry.
Comeback & Performances
In 2016, after nearly two years of silence, Ladies’ Code made a brave return with the mini-album ‘Myst3ry’, featuring the emotional ballad “Galaxy”. Their comeback was met with a warm response, and fans admired their resilience. The group continued with follow-up releases, including “The Rain” and “Feedback”, showing a more mature and sophisticated musical direction. While they never regained their earlier commercial peak, they were widely respected for their artistry and perseverance.
Inactive Status
Despite their return, Ladies’ Code remained relatively low-profile compared to other K-pop acts. Their last official comeback as a group was in 2019 with the song “Set Me Free”. By 2020, their contracts with Polaris Entertainment expired, and the members decided not to renew, effectively putting the group on an indefinite hiatus.
What are Ladies’ Code Members Doing Now?
Following the termination of their contract, the remaining members pursued individual careers. Ashley transitioned into hosting and content creation, running a YouTube channel and working as a radio DJ. Sojung continued her music career as a solo artist, releasing indie-style songs that showcase her deep, emotional vocals. Zuny, while keeping a lower profile, has occasionally appeared in entertainment projects.
Conclusion
Ladies’ Code’s journey was filled with highs and lows, but their legacy in K-pop remains unforgettable. Though no longer active as a group, their music and story continue to inspire fans. Whether through solo endeavors or memories of their past, Ladies’ Code will always be cherished by those who followed their remarkable journey. We wish them well and if ever there is a comeback or even just a showcase, they will be welcomed back very warmly.

GALCHANIE has been making waves in Thailand’s pop industry with her soulful voice, unique style, and bold artistic vision. From her 2022 solo debut to her recent success as part of the DREAMGALS project group, GALCHANIE continues to defy gravity and push musical boundaries. With the release of her latest single, “Baby Tee”, and major brand collaborations coupled with electrifying performances at festivals, GALCHANIE is proving to be a multifaceted artist. KCrush America Magazine sat down with GALCHANIE to discuss her evolving career, creative process, and what fans can expect next.
What inspired you to pursue a music career and how would you describe your evolution as an artist since your debut?
I’ve always loved music since I was a kid. I was fascinated by how songs can express emotions and connect people. When I started making music, I fell in love with the creative processes like writing, producing, and bringing ideas to life.
Since my debut, I’ve grown a lot, both in my sound and how I approach my work. But one thing that hasn’t changed is my passion for creating meaningful music that resonates with people. Now, I’m stepping forward more as an artist, which feels like a big and exciting step in my journey.
Tell us a little about yourself when you are not in artistic mode. What about your travels and/or do you consider yourself a homebody?
I’m definitely more of a homebody, but I’m always learning and exploring new things online. This year, I’m hoping to pick up some new hobbies and get out more to experience things in person, let’s see how that goes! Haha.
Your solo debut in August 2022 featured the singles “Hide” and “Yok Yai.” What is your songwriting process like? Do you start with a melody, lyrics, or a concept first?
My songwriting process isn’t always the same, it depends on the song. Sometimes I start with a concept or a feeling I want to capture, and other times, a melody or a lyric just comes to me, and I build around that. With Hide and Yok Yai, I wanted to create songs that felt raw and honest, so the lyrics and mood played a big role from the beginning. But no matter how a song starts, I always focus on making sure it tells a story and connects with people in a real way.
How did the special project group DREAMGALS come into existence and what has been the most rewarding aspect of collaborating with MILLI and Flower. far in DREAMGALS?
DREAMGALS started when MILLI saw a clip of me and Flower.far singing together. She had the idea that we should make a song as a trio, and everything just flowed from there.
The best part of working with them is how much we inspire and push each other. We all bring different strengths to the table, but somehow, it just works. It’s been so fun creating music together and seeing people enjoy what we’ve made.
In January 2025, you released “ก็พอ (Enough)” single whose MV was filmed in Japan. What was the inspiration behind this song and its visual setting?
This song was written during a time when I was heartbroken. I did a lot of self-reflection and realized that sometimes, just being here and seeing the people you love happy is enough even if you can’t have them for yourself. That’s how the song came about.
As for the music video, we had the chance to film it in Japan, at various tourist spots. The vibe of the song really matched the locations, and the Japanese crew was so kind and wonderful to work with!
Congratulations on the latest “Baby Tee” single. How would you describe this lyrical masterpiece in a few words?
Thank you! “Baby Tee” is a fun, playful love song with a touch of sexy energy. It’s all about confidence, independence, and embracing who you are, while keeping things cute and flirty. It’s got that mix of empowerment, style, and a little bit of attitude, all wrapped up in a sweet love vibe.
You’ve collaborated with several artists like Nulbarich on the “Floatin” track remix. How do such collaborations come by and how do they influence your musical growth?
It started when Nulbarich wanted to do a remix with a Thai artist. He had the chance to listen to my music and really liked it, so we ended up collaborating. It was such a great experience working with him!
Working with different artists helps me grow by exposing me to new ideas and sounds I might not have explored on my own. Every collaboration teaches me something new about music and about pushing my own boundaries, which keeps me evolving as an artist.
You’ve been part of both the T-pop and international music scenes. How do you see T-pop evolving globally?
I think T-Pop is growing and getting noticed globally right now. We have our own unique Thai style, whether it’s in the visuals or the music. I really hope the charm of T-Pop gets recognized worldwide soon!
You’ve collaborated with several brands. How do you balance maintaining your artistic integrity while partnering with commercial brands?
Balancing artistic integrity with brand partnerships is about staying true to myself. I work with brands that fit my style and values, so it feels natural. As long as it aligns with my vision, it’s all about keeping things authentic and genuine.
You’ve performed at events like the RIMPHA MUSIC FESTIVAL alongside other DREAMGALS members. How do you prepare for such large-scale performances? Are there any festivals or events on your bucket list where you’d love to perform?
Preparing for big performances like the RIMPHA MUSIC FESTIVAL means a lot of practice and coordination with the team. We focus on making everything perfect for the audience.
As for my bucket list, I’d love to perform at HITC one day! It would be such an amazing experience!
“From Now It’s My Turn” track has a powerful aura from the unapologetic lyrics. What was the inspiration behind this musical piece?
“From Now It’s My Turn” was inspired by my experience in a toxic relationship. It’s about breaking free, reclaiming my power, and moving forward without looking back. I wanted the song to feel bold and unapologetic, representing strength and self-worth.
For our readers and your fans, is there anything you would like them to know about you that they might not know already?
I just want to let everyone know that I’m actually a lot more soft and sweet than I might seem! Hahaha! I know my appearance can come off as bold and fierce, and sometimes I don’t smile much when I meet people, but honestly, I’m not mad or anything it’s just my natural face! LOL
What’s the biggest goal you have yet to achieve in your career?
One of my biggest goals is to be recognized as a top artist and to have my work acknowledged on a global scale. I want to be that little spark that helps girls feel confident and inspires every one through the work I do. Making people feel good about themselves and empowered that’s the dream! and hopefully be nominated for The Best Female Artist of the Year someday. There’s still so much I want to accomplish, and I’m excited for the journey ahead!
As an artist, where do you see yourself in the next five years?
In the next five years, I see myself continuing to make music that really connects with people. I want to grow my influence in the music world and maybe try out some other creative projects too. Most importantly, I want to keep inspiring others, especially young women, to chase their dreams and be true to themselves. It’s all about growth, exploring new things, and leaving a positive mark!

First ‘cheers’ live performance video also out now!

Live Performance:https://youtu.be/cCtjKZiwKs0
Japanese four-piece band muque released their new song ‘cheers’ today, March 12. The band’s first release of 2025, ‘cheers’ is a dance-rock tune with a cool down-tuned, edgy guitar riff. We’ve all wrestled with how to be ourselves, and vocalist/guitarist Asakura’s lyrics express this feeling through poignant words, resulting in a passionate song that represents a new frontier for muque. It’s sure to be a key song in future live performances.
A video showing live footage of the song being performed for the very first time during an encore on muque’s recent solo tour was also released today at 20:00 Japan Standard Time. A stack of old-fashioned CRT TV sets on the stage help build an exciting live atmosphere, giving muque’s performance an extra edge. It truly is a live music video like no other.
About muque
muque are a four-piece band based in Fukuoka, Japan, featuring members Asakura (guitar and vocals), Lenon (bass), takachi (programming and drums) and Kenichi (guitar). They formed in May 2022.
Their music is mainly produced by drummer takachi, who also creates and arranges the tracks, and Asakura, who handles the topline melodies and lyrics.
The group’s appeal comes from takachi’s modern-sounding tracks, influenced by global music from not only the US and UK but also Asian beats, and Asakura’s deep lyrics and melodies that exude a typically Japanese vibe. The music and Asakura’s emotional vocal delivery combine to create a unique world that is all their own.
The band’s name muque is a blend of the French word “musique” and the Japanese word “muku”, which means “purity”. The name reflects the band’s desire to make the music they want to make, regardless of what anyone else thinks.

The finale show on Sunday was LUNA SEA’s first solo concert at Tokyo Dome in around 15 years, and was a life-or-death performance befitting the show’s concept, “a night of resolve”. As the band members left the stage, the venue returned to darkness, and a video began playing on the screen, as the audience looked on with bated breath. When a familiar skull logo finally appeared, the entire dome erupted in screams of joy.
Yes, the video announced the third edition of the legendary rock event LUNATIC FEST., which was last held in 2018. LUNATIC FEST. 2025 will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, just outside Tokyo, as a two-day event on Saturday November 8 and Sunday November 9, 2025.
LUNATIC FEST. 2025 announcement video
Meanwhile, at Saturday’s show, The Millennium Eve 2025, LUNA SEA performed with their old friends GLAY for the first time in 25 years. First, GLAY performed fan favorites such as ‘Kuchibiru’, ‘Pure Soul’, ‘HOWEVER’ and ‘Yuuwaku’, followed by LUNA SEA with a series of hits such as ‘STORM’, ‘IN SILENCE’, ‘I for You’ and ‘ROSIER’.
During the encore, the two bands mixed and matched their members for renditions of LUNA SEA’s ‘TRUE BLUE’ with TERU from GLAY on vocals, and GLAY’s ‘BELOVED’ sung by RYUICHI from LUNA SEA. The members of both bands all performed together for the grand finale ‘WISH’, truly a dream collaboration for fans of Japanese rock music.
The joint performance with GLAY coincided with the 35th anniversary of LUNA SEA’s formation. RYUICHI commented, “A lot of things have happened for both of us since that time when so many bands were created, but I’m thankful we can stand on stage together at Tokyo Dome again. GLAY and LUNA SEA will continue to lead the scene!” Everyone in the audience on those two miraculous nights surely felt this sentiment in their hearts.
More details on LUNATIC FEST. 2025 are coming soon. In the meantime, let’s all imagine what this awesome event might bring.

Although countries like the U.S., Japan, China, and South Korea are known as major hubs for these genres, other dedicated fanbases might surprise both artists and industry insiders. From Africa to the Middle East, Asian pop music has cultivated passionate communities that could soon become prime locations for concerts, fan meetings, and official promotions.
IN2IT band in Delhi, India in 2018
India: A Massive Yet Underrated Market
India has one of the largest K-Pop and J-Pop fanbases worldwide, yet the market remains largely untapped for official events. India’s K-Pop fanbase skyrocketed after BTS’s popularity surged in 2018, followed by other groups like SEVENTEEN. Cities like Delhi have hotspots for fan clubs, Korean cultural centers, and K-Pop dance competitions. Indian fans have consistently contributed to multiple successful album sales and streaming records. Nonetheless, only a few K-Pop artists, such as AleXa and IN2IT band, have had performances in India. With such a massive active fanbase, India presents an enormous opportunity for concerts, fan meetings, and official promotions.

The passion and digital activism of these fans confirm that Asian pop is more than a regional phenomenon. These markets represent untapped potential that could redefine global pop culture’s future. For artists looking to make history, now would be the time to explore new territories and connect with fans in places they never imagined possible.
