TWO-MIX is a musical duo formed on April 29, 1995 featuring Minami Takayama, who performs main vocals as well as composing, and Shiina Nagano, who writes lyrics, composes music and arrangement.
The duo has been responsible for the theme songs of a great number of anime and TV dramas, such as ‘NEW MOBILE REPORT GUNDAM WING’ and ‘Detective Conan’, to name but a few.
Coinciding with the 28th anniversary of their debut, on Saturday, the April 29th, 2023, 17 of their singles and 9 albums are now available worldwide.
While listeners around the world can enjoy ‘Just Communication’, the opening theme for the first part of ‘NEW MOBILE REPORT GUNDAM WING’, they can experience other major hits, such as ‘Rhythm Emotion’ the opening theme for the second half of the series, ‘White Reflection’, the theme song for the straight to video animation (OVA) ‘NEW MOBILE REPORT GUNDAM W Endless Waltz’, ‘Last Impression’, the theme song for the theatrical movie ‘NEW MOBILE REPORT GUNDAM W Endless Waltz -Special Edition-‘, and ‘Truth～A Great Detective of Love～’, the theme song for ‘Detective Conan’.

TWO-MIX was formed in 1995 by Minami Takayama, who performs main vocals as well as composing, and Shiina Nagano, who writes lyrics, composes music and arrangement.
The name of the duo comes from the term ‘TWO-MIX’. which is used in recording to describe the process of mapping a sound source between left and right in stereo.
Their music videos have been created using computer graphics and animation. Because of this, the image of the artists was not well circulated in the media. In addition, owing to the fact that they did not proactively perform live concerts, they were sometimes thought of as virtual artists.
TWO-MIX has also been responsible for creating the theme songs for many popular anime and TV programmes such as ‘NEW MOBILE REPORT GUNDAM WING’ and ‘Detective Conan’.
In 1998, they released a CD on which they collaborated with orchestras from Paris and Warsaw.
Throughout the noughties the group diversified their activities, crossing genres with the release of the dance mix project CDs in collaboration with night clubs.
In 2021, they released their 25th anniversary greatest hits album, ‘TWO-MIX 25th Anniversary ALL TIME BEST’. As of April 2023, their total sales are more than 7,000,000 units.
