Golden, composed by THEBLACKLABEL’s producer team, TEDDY24 and IDO, has made history as the first K-Pop song ever to win a Grammy Award.

At the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, held February 1 in Los Angeles, Golden – the original theme song from Netflix’s animated feature K-Pop Demon Hunters – won Best Song Written for Visual Media, marking a landmark moment for K-Pop and Korean creators on the global stage.

Serving as the film’s emotional centerpiece, Golden plays during the climactic scene in which the virtual girl group HUNTR/X achieves its goal. The song became a global phenomenon alongside the film’s worldwide success, topping charts across multiple territories. Notably, Golden achieved a rare feat for an original soundtrack, holding the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks.

THEBLACKLABEL’s producers accepted the award at the ceremony. Producer 24 said, “Lastly, although he couldn’t be here with us today, I dedicate this honor to the person who went through this whole journey with me – my greatest mentor and my closest friend, the pioneer of K-Pop, TEDDY.”

Producer, Joong Gyu Kwak of IDO added, “The Grammy Awards are essentially the greatest goal a composer can dream of, and it feels as though I have achieved that dream. Beyond simply the success of K-Pop, it is an honor and deeply meaningful to have been able to contribute music to a work that introduces K-culture to the world.”

Previously, Golden also won Best Original Song (Motion Picture) at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, further cementing its impact. The song is also set to compete at the 2026 BRIT Awards and the Academy Awards, highlighting the continued global expansion of Korean content beyond music.

Led by TEDDY, alongside producers 24 and IDO (Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam & Joong Gyu Kwak), THEBLACKLABEL’s producer team composed and arranged Golden, along with EJAE and Mark Sonnenblick, quickly propelling it to global mega-hit status. THEBLACKLABEL team also produced additional tracks for the K-Pop Demon Hunters soundtrack, including How It’s DoneSoda Pop, and Your Idol, contributing to the film’s success and showcasing the global reach of K-pop–driven storytelling.
