K-Pop Demon Hunters, the animated film from Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation, won two awards at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards. The film received Best Motion Picture – Animated and Best Original Song – Motion Picture, making it one of the most awarded animated films of the ceremony.
The film won Best Motion Picture – Animated over Zootopia 2 and Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. With this win, director Maggie Kang became the first Asian woman to receive the Golden Globe for Best Animated Motion Picture.
The song “Golden” won Best Original Song – Motion Picture. The song is performed by the fictional K-pop group HUNTR/X, with vocals by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI. The award was presented to the song’s credited writers, including EJAE and Mark Sonnenblick. K-Pop Demon Hunters was also nominated for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, but the award was won by Sinners, a film directed by Ryan Coogler.
